Fremantle Ports: Upcoming Berth Maintenance in the Inner Harbour

A heads up for anyone with cargo moving through Fremantle over the coming months: Fremantle Ports has announced two periods of essential maintenance in the Inner Harbour.

Container Berth 7 – 26 February to 10 March 2026

Maintenance works will include:

  • Crane rail replacement

  • Refurbishment of selected mooring points

  • Structural repairs to sections of the wharf deck and supporting infrastructure, both above and below the wharf

During this period, the reduced quay length may affect vessel scheduling and processing times at the Patrick Terminal. While some operational adjustments may be required, this proactive maintenance is designed to prevent potential issues in the future and maintain the long-term reliability of the wharf.

Common User Berth 12 – 15 to 24 April 2026

Berth 12 will be temporarily unavailable to allow maintenance on multiple berth bollards, including replacements, upgrades, and repainting (weather permitting).

These works are critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and operational integrity of Fremantle Ports for years to come.
